Richmondshire Leisure Trust has added a gym to its
portfolio.
It has taken over the Liberty Health Club
which sits alongside Richmond Swimming Pool – allowing it to add
more fitness sessions to its programme of activities.
The trust is a not for profit organisation
specialising in providing sport and recreational activities – and
strives to continually improve the quality and accessibility of all
leisure services. It already has a busy swimming
pool – around 100,000 people a year visit the centre many taking
part in the Burst activity scheme for youngsters.
“Taking over the health club is a significant
step forward in creating a unified approach to improving leisure
provision within the district of Richmondshire,” said Austin
Gordon, General Manager of Richmondshire Leisure Trust.
“As a new manager - and a new resident to the
area - it is great to see new facilities become part of the
Richmondshire Leisure Trust family. I am looking
forward to working to improve the services we offer to the
community.”
- To launch the centre’s new management anyone
joining Liberty’s this month (March) gets one block of swimming
lessons for a child or an adult free - worth up to £59.40.
