Two new classes are music to the ears
of swim teachers at Richmond Pool.
They are introducing the water to babies,
toddlers, children and their parents with music and song.
Every Monday a group of 6 - 13 year olds are
taking part in synchronised swimming lessons -
learning new aquatic skills through
music. Led by Patricia Borrill the Monday evening classes
lead to swimming awards.
They take place from 6.15 – 7pm.
And for younger children the ‘Swim a Song’
programme introduces youngsters from four months to three years of
age to the water through song and rhyme. The programme
– which is endorsed by the ASA - is a fun, innovative and effective
programme
Classes take place on Monday and Wednesday
from 12.45 – 2.15pm and lead to the first step of the ASA awards
scheme. Drop in sessions also take place every Thursday from
11.30am - midday and midday - 12:30pm.
