A new Saturday afternoon walk is on
the agenda in Richmond.
Office workers looking for something new to do
at the weekend are being urged to try out the walk being organised
by the town’s ‘Walking for Health’ group.
It sets off from Richmond Swimming Pool café
at 2.15pm on October 23 – with either two or four mile strolls
available. The walks are free, children can attend as
long as with an adult – but dogs cannot be accommodated.
The walking group is part of a national
organisation organised by Natural England. Locally it is run by the
Richmond Swale Valley Community Initiative with funding from Comic
Relief and the Richmondshire Local Strategic Partnership. It
organises weekly outings around the district.
