Twelve former residents of a Richmond
sheltered housing scheme have returned home!

They are the first to move into a brand new
Extra Care Scheme. The Greyfriars development has been built
on their old Lile Close homes.
Developed in a partnership between Housing 21,
Richmondshire District Council and North Yorkshire County Council
the scheme allows older people who need a little support to live
independently.
The district council worked with all the
tenants, helping with the moving process and providing carpets and
bedroom furniture.
And it will continue to be involved in the
allocation of future accommodation within the scheme.
Anyone interested should complete a choice
based lettings applications form and clearly mark the form
‘Greyfriars only’ if they do not want any other type of
accommodation. Applications will not be registered on
choice based lettings but placed on a waiting list for
Greyfriars.
