Hambleton and Richmondshire District
Council staff have raised almost £1300 for Comic
Relief.

Officers from both authorities ‘dressed down’
for red nose day, held quizzes and raffles.
The Chief Executive cycled from Richmond to
Northallerton to raise cash – he was joined by
Assistant Director Colin Dales.
Assistant Chief Executive, Sandra Walbran and Nick Rorke,
Improvement Officer, pedalled in the opposite direction - from
Northallerton to Richmond.
Over at Thirsk and Sowerby Leisure Centre 18
members of the team completed the “Channellenge” - swimming
the distance of the English Channel (1360 lengths of the main pool)
in an hour to raise over £150. And activities at
the Springboard Business Centre in Stokesley raised over £200.
