Catterick Leisure Centre has become
the first Ministry of Defence owned leisure facility to go through
the Quest scheme.

It was awarded ‘highly commended’ in the
national quality award scheme, with a score of 81% which puts it
into the top 10% of centres in the country.
The scheme sees audits taken in 1000 leisure
centres across the UK every two years. Quest assessor, David
Constantine, said that it is quite clear that the MOD will make
sure that the centre is maintained to a very high standard, giving
the local community access to state of the art sporting
facilities.
“The team at Catterick have a passion for
customer care and we constantly strive to improve our centres’
provision for visitors,” said Les Mooney, General
Manager.
“Through the Quest process we have fine-tuned
our commitment to improving service and facilities to enhance our
customer experience – undoubtedly without quest we would have
struggled to attain the level of focus which has been created.”
Based at Catterick Garrison, the £22m centre
offers swimming, fitness, sports and conference facilities – as
well as a public library for service personnel and the local
community around Catterick Garrrison.
