Richmondshire voters are being urged
to have their say on the location of the districts 57 polling
stations.
As part of a district wide review of the
facilities the District Council is looking to local people for
comments on the current locations. And officers are open to
suggestions for other possible venues.
The authority is looking at all polling
places, polling districts and polling stations to make sure that
all electors have reasonable and practical facilities for voting -
and they are all fully accessible where possible, including to the
disabled.
It is being conducted in accordance with
the Review of Polling Districts and
Polling Places (Parliamentary Elections) Regulations
2006.

Returning Officer’s proposals are available for inspection at
http://www.richmondshire.gov.uk/
and at the Council’s Community Offices in Richmond, Reeth, Hawes,
Leyburn.
