A new forum bringing together local
partnerships in Hambleton and Richmondshire has been
formed.

The Hambleton and Richmondshire Strategic
Forum replaces the Local Strategic Partnerships for both districts
– but continues the work to deliver community based projects.
The multi agency partnership brings together a
wide range of organisations and groups operating across the area
covering the public, private, voluntary and community sectors to
address the challenges identified within the North Yorkshire,
Hambleton and Richmondshire Sustainable Community Strategies.
And it will be led by new chair, Rosemary
Taylor.
A solicitor by profession, Rosemary has had a
varied career in both the private and public sector, including
leading the Hambleton Community Safety Partnership from 2003 to
2009 and the Hambleton LSP from 2009 to April of this year.
She is a Director and Company Secretary of
Seaward Holding Company Ltd – a North East based company
manufacturing electronic instruments for an international market;
and has held a number of positions on the Boards of various NHS
bodies.
“This is a very exciting new forum bringing
together partnerships from across both districts,” she said.
“It will be a new way of working but one that
will be more efficient and increase the emphasis on the
delivery of local schemes in our communities. In challenging
financial times people and organisations need to work together
creatively to find a sustainable solution
Hambleton District and North Yorkshire County
Councillor – and local businessman - Carl Les has been appointed
