Local people are being urged to have
their say on the proposed new licensing policy for
Richmondshire.
The District Council is reviewing the policy
which aims to keep a balance between the needs of the licensing
trade and its customers and the rights of residents living close
by.
The authority grants premises licences, club
premises certificates, temporary entertainment notices and late
night refreshment licences around the district. Most of
them are small premises catering for local people and the thriving
tourist market although there are larger premises which open later
and cater for the younger market around Richmond and Catterick
Garrison.
To have a say on the policy check out www.richmondshire.gov.uk/licensing
or call into one of the council’s offices in Richmond, Leyburn,
Reeth, Hawes and Colburn.
