Futsal players are hoping to smash the
world record for playing 36 hours non stop next weekend – and raise
cash for their club.
But they need volunteers to come along and
help witness the record, act as timekeepers, take photograph and be
scorekeepers.
Futsal is an alternative form of football,
normally played indoors with five players and on a smaller pitch
with a smaller ball!
The marathon match – starring players from
Middlesbrough Fusal Club - starts at 10am at Catterick Leisure
Centre on July 1. It ends at 10pm on July 2 - with prize
draws at selected intervals to win signed merchandise. Entry
to watch is free.
The Futsal World Record will raise funds for
TFM Radio’s ‘Cash for Kids’ appeal as well as the Middlesbrough
Futsal Club.
