RESIDENTS in and around Catterick Garrison will now find it even easier to access the local services they need.
The Garrison’s HIVE Information Centre – which keeps members of the service community up-to-date about relocation, local civilian facilities, places of interest, job and training opportunities and much more – is now offering a range of local Council services too.
For example, Richmondshire District Council has installed a free direct-dial telephone, which connects straight to its own Contact Centre. That means residents can access all Council services, without even having to pay for the phone call.
And one of HIVE’s most common service queries is recycling – so residents are now also able to get Council green bags, blue bags and green boxes for waste recycling from there.
Carole Dew, Head of Customer Services at Richmondshire District Council, said: “We know what a valuable service HIVE provides at Catterick Garrison, and it’s fantastic that we are able to work together to make things even easier for residents. If you’ve never visited The Hive before, now’s the perfect chance to find out what’s on offer!”
The Hive is also now open longer hours, from 9am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, and until 3.30pm on Friday.
