The fourth annual Games Fest takes
place in Northallerton next weekend.
The tournament will see youngsters battling it
out on games consoles in everything from car racing and football to
dancing and guitar playing!
The Northallerton Safer Neighbourhoods
Police Team, ‘4 Youth’ and the Hambleton and Richmondshire
Community Safety Partnership have organised the event in an attempt
to keep youngsters off the street in the school holidays -
especially around Halloween.
The competition - which is open to young
people aged 11 – 19 - takes places at Mill Hill School,
Northalleton on Saturday October 29 from 1 – 9pm. Prizes
include Ipod Nano, camera and games vouchers.
And there will be lots of other activities
during the day including a tombola, raffle, nail art and
climbing wall for non gamers and supporters.
Anyone interested in taking part can obtain
application forms from Base@Insite in Northallerton.
