Issued December 9, 2011
Richmond Town Hall is throwing open
its doors to the homeless and lonely once more this
Christmas.
For the fourth year running, a group of local
people plan to make December 25th a day to remember
through the ‘Christmas Meal’ project.
Anyone who is homeless, lonely or just by
themselves this festive season is being invited to enjoy the
Christmas day lunch. Volunteers will be working
throughout the day – and Christmas Eve – preparing the feast thanks
to a host of local sponsors and organisations.
2011 sees it once again staged in Richmond
Town Hall – thanks to the Town Council - enabling more people
to be served. Buses and cars will also be used to
drive people into the town from outlying areas of the
district. And everyone attending also gets a Christmas
gift.
Anyone who wants to take part in the
festivities – or can offer any help – should contact Stuart Parsons
on 01748 823456 or Linda Curran on 01748 823456.
The dinner will be served from 12.30pm.
