A bank providing vital resources for
arts and community groups across Richmondshire has moved into a new
home.
The equipment bank - for voluntary and
professional groups – has opened for business at the White Rose
Community Centre at Catterick Garrison.
It has been under the care of the Catterick
Garrison Community Group since its previous base within Middleham
with Arts in Richmondshire [AiR] became unavailable.
“It was a sad day when AiR closed after several
valuable years service supporting the delivery of the arts and
creative industries across the district,” said Chair of
Richmondshire Culture, Gillian Howells.
“We were determined that the legacy of its
excellent work should continue. Now we have found a good accessible
home for the equipment store ensuring it will be maintained and
available to hire. Now whether people are planning a
conference, festival, pantomime or art exhibition we can help.”
The bank includes lighting, sound, exhibition
boards and cases, staging, cinema equipment and other media and can
be hired by both amateur and professional organisations and
groups.
