A final call for voters has gone out
across Hambleton and Richmondshire.
Anyone still needing to register to vote - or
needing to apply for a postal vote - for the May local elections
only have two weeks to do it in.
All applications must be submitted by 5pm on
Thursday April 14 to make sure it is in place for May 5.
The same date applies to voters, or their
proxies, wanting to make changes to existing arrangements for this
election - to have ballot papers sent to a different
address.
May 5 sees local district and parish elections
across Hambleton and Richmondshire. Electors will also
be able to have their say in the yes / no referendum on the voting
system used for general elections.
The Electoral Commission is sending a booklet
to every household in the UK about the referendum.
