Three district council employees have
graduated after two years of study.

Carole Dew, Jo-Anne Simpson and Dave Ashbridge
have completed a Foundation Degree in Leadership and Management in
the Public Sector at the University of Teesside.
They were part of a funded programme provided
by the North Yorkshire Improvement Partnership.
The course has included team building,
mentoring and coaching, managing people, managing finance, critical
thinking, problem solving and managing change. And the
curriculum enabled Carole, Jo-Anne and Dave to continuously apply
their knowledge in their jobs with the final assessment - a work
based project - directly related to their individual areas of
work.
Course Mentor and District Council Assistant
Director, Simon Fletcher, said, “They have worked hard to complete
this course. The skills they have developed make them a real asset
to Hambleton and Richmondshire District Councils.
“The degree course has allowed them to grow
and develop by providing them with the necessary skills to deliver
public services in the current and very challenging economic
climate.’’
