Allowances paid to members of
Richmondshire District Council for the last financial year have
been published.
Each councillor receives a flat rate
payment of £2,900.00 plus additional
responsibility payments, which are allocated to the leader of the
Council, chairman of the Council and chairs and vice-chairs of
committees.
Individual allowances exclude travel
and subsistence and not all members claim the full amount.
Table 1 (below) details the total payments made in the year
2010/11. The total amount paid was
£127,091.
Travel and subsistence payments are
detailed in table 2 below. The total amount paid was
£13,359.
In addition to members allowances and
travel / subsistence payments, the council paid a carers allowance
to 2 councillors (see table 3). The total amount paid in 2010/11
was £779.
