Former Chairman of Richmondshire
District Council, Councillor Yvonne Peacock, has handed over
£955.96 to charity.

During her year in office, Councillor Peacock
held a civic dinner and organised evening coffee functions in the
Dales to raise money for both the Hambleton and Richmond branches
of the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Alzheimer’s Society.
“I was pleased to be able to use my Chairman's
year to raise money for local people who suffer with
these debilitating illnesses,” said Councillor Peacock.
“And hopefully in some small way raise
awareness for these two local based
charities,"
