Richmondshire partners set up stall at Catterick Garrison Open Day
VISITORS to the Catterick Garrison Open Day this weekend will have the chance to find out about the range of services on offer to them – thanks to the biggest “roadshow” of its kind the district has ever seen.
As part of a drive to bring services closer to residents across the district, Richmondshire District Council has joined forces with Richmondshire Local Strategic Partnership and Richmondshire Community Safety Partnership to host a marquee at Marne Barracks on Saturday (June 21).
It’s the first time an event on this scale has been attempted – and visitors to the Access Richmondshire marquee will be able to do everything from watch boxing displays to have their say about the GP out-of-hours service in Richmondshire.
The Catterick Garrison Open Day regularly attracts thousands of people from across the region and beyond. It runs from 10am to 5pm on Saturday, June 21.
Councillor Melva Steckles, Leader of Richmondshire District Council, said: “The Access Richmondshire roadshow is about bringing services closer to residents, finding new ways of engaging with our communities. Whether it’s in person, over the phone or electronically, it’s never been easier to get the local services you need – and I hope lots of people will take the time to stop by our marquee and find out how!”
