Richmond youngsters will be splashing
for cash this month.
For babies, toddlers and young children are being
invited to take part in the annual ‘Tommy Splashathon’ at the
town’s swimming pool.
Richmond Swimming Pool will be hosting the
fundraising event on June 23 and 24. From 11.30am to 12.30pm
- young ‘splashers’ will be encouraged to ‘splash’ the length
or width of the pool.
All money raised through sponsorship will go
to baby charity Tommy’s, which funds research into pregnancy
complications in the hope that fewer families in the UK have to
suffer the trauma of losing a baby at pregnancy or birth.
And as an incentive to raise more funds,
Tommy’s is offering a range of prizes to the children who raise the
most money.
