Members of Richmondshire’s Citizens
Advice Bureau are hitting the road next week.
On June 1 they are taking their publicity bus
to five villages - Eppleby, Melsonby, Aldbrough St John, Barton and
Gilling West - to find out how the bureau could support local
residents.
“We want people to come along for a cuppa and
a chat with us – to help us understand how we can provide the right
services for them. Our services need to be where people need
them – not just in Richmond,” said Rachel Hunter from
CAB.
“The Bureau is constantly busy and appointment
waiting times can be long – but by providing outreach clinics we
can see people in their own villages. We already have them
running successfully in the dales – now we have the opportunity to
provide a similar service at another part of Richmondshire.”
The bus will be at Eppleby Village Green
9.15am; Aldbrough St John Village Green 10.30am; Barton, St
Cuthbert Cross 12 noon; Melsonby on the Aldbrough Road
1.30pm. The visit to Gilling West is likely to be
at 2.30pm.
There is a free prize draw and free
refreshments
