Advice surgeries for Richmondshire
residents needing help on a range of welfare benefits have been set
up across the district.
Appointments with a welfare officer can be
booked at the community offices in Richmond, Leyburn, Reeth,
Colburn and Hawes. Information on everything from housing benefit
and council tax to disability living allowance, carers allowance
and pension credits will be available.
Fully trained staff will offer advice, assist
with the completion of forms and verify documents at the surgeries.
Staff will also be available for home visits where residents
are unable to get to a community office.
