Hambleton and Richmondshire residents
are to be given a unique ‘behind the scene’ tour of district
council operations.
As part of an international celebration of
‘customer service’ the authorities are inviting local people to
step behind the counter and see how the customer services
departments work.
‘Customer Service Week’ will also see senior
offices manning the reception desk at the Civic Centre in
Northallerton and Dundas Street in Richmond.
Customer Service Week (from 4 – 8 October) is
an annual international event which recognises the importance of
customer service and the people who work on the front line serving
and supporting customers.
Anyone interested in a short tour of the
Hambleton Customer Services Unit and the Civic Centre should meet
in reception of the Civic Centre at Stone Cross, Northallerton at
10.30am or 2.30pm on Monday October 4 or Tuesday October 5.

Tours will be at the Richmond offices on
Friday October 8 from 9am – 4.45pm.
- During the week the Council are also seeking
nominations for ‘Customer Service Awards’ for Council employees who
go the extra mile- nomination forms will be available during the
week. At the end of the week winners will be chosen from the
entries to receive an award.
