The Station Cinema at Richmond will show The
Kings Speech with subtitles on Monday 14th March at
8pm.
“This is a first for the Station Cinema,” says
Rob Younger. “We have been working with Independus who are
the local group representing disabled people and I am pleased that
not only can we now introduce screenings with subtitles we can also
show films with an audio description for people with visual
impairments.”
“It is fantastic that the first film will be
the Kings Speech,” says Linda Curran. “I have been
longing to see the film but without subtitles it would not be worth
going. I know lots of other people who also have hearing
impairment who will be really pleased to know that subtitles at the
Station Cinema is now going to be a regular thing.”
