The First Business Event at Innovate

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The first business event at innovate! has been hailed a success.

 

Over 25 women in business from across North Yorkshire attended the ‘Women in Business’ event on 3^rd August at the new business centre, Colburn Business Park.

 

The event aimed to raise awareness of the services available for business women in the region as well as giving them an opportunity to share experiences and network with other business women.

 

 

The delegates enjoyed a taster session from Pure Intention’s Stress Management Course and a delicious lunch from Davina Lovegreen Catering.

 

Two of the regions most successful business women Elizabeth Guy, creator of the Award- Winning Beth Guys Little Pies and Isobel Davies, Founder of Organic Produce Company Farmaround, inspired the delegates by sharing their experiences of being in business.

 

“I was delighted to be invited to speak at the event and meet so many interesting and entrepreneurial women. The event demonstrated the support that is available for any woman who desires to take control of their lives by starting up their own business. It was a very supportive and encouraging environment and I thoroughly enjoyed it”, said Isobel Davies of Farmaround.

 

A range of service providers- WIRE, Women in Enterprise, Darlington college at Catterick, Developing Minds, Business Support and Development Ltd- were on hand throughout the event to give advice and information on training, funding and business support.
