There is such a thing as a free lunch - at least for tourism businesses in the Richmondshire area.
Richmondshire District Council is holding a special event to boost the area's tourism industry, at picturesque Simonstone Hall in Hawes.
The event will include a session hosted by marketing expert and advisor to VisitBritain Susan Briggs, of The Tourism Network, to come up with ideas that could make a real difference to local businesses.
Officers from the Council will be there to unveil a new programme of grants, and there will be opportunities to learn about the regional Destination Management System, how to get Quality Assessed, and what's going on in Yorkshire tourism.
There will also be a genuinely free lunch - no strings attached!
Councillor Yvonne Peacock, who represents the Council on the Yorkshire Dales and Harrogate Tourism Partnership, said: "There's a lot going on in the tourism industry at the moment, so this lunch is an excellent opportunity to keep up to date, and find out how to benefit from free publicity and extra support."
The event, on Thursday, May 15, from 10am to 1.30pm, is for tourism businesses in the Richmondshire area. Places are strictly limited, and you can download a booking form at richmondshire.gov.uk.
