HOUSEHOLD WASTE RECYCLING CENTRE CLOSURE PROMPTS FLY TIPPING WARNING

Richmondshire residents are being urged not to resort to fly tipping whilst one of the district’s Household Waste Recycling Centres is closed.

The county council run centre at Brompton on Swale will be shut from February 6 to 18 for essential maintenance work and as a result the District Council expects its mini recycling centre in the village to be very busy. But the site only accepts recyclables – paper, plastics, cans – not household waste and the council is warning residents that any waste not disposed of correctly will be considered as fly tipping.
