FLAG RAISED AT RICHMONDSHIRE

 

Richmondshire District Council marked National Armed Forces Day by ‘flying the flag’ last week (Monday June 19).

Chairman of the Council, Councillor Angie Dale, led officials from the authority – along with forces personnel - in a ceremony to raise a special flag in Friary Gardens, Richmond.

NEW WARD BOUNDARIES FOR RICHMONDSHIRE

Local people are being asked to have their say on plans to reduce the number of councillors sitting on Richmondshire District Council by ten.

The independent Local Government Boundary Commission for England has announced today (June 27) that it is minded to recommend that from 2019 the authority should have 24 members.

EAT SAFE THIS SUMMER

Food hygiene experts are promoting the importance of the four C’s this summer – to keep Richmondshire residents safe from episodes of food poisoning.

Research shows the people have a lack of knowledge of Chilling, Cooking, Cleaning and avoiding Cross-contamination.

The Food Standards Agency’s Food and You Survey, which collects information on food safety through 3,118 interviews across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, found that in Yorkshire and the Humber:
