Young Persons Pathway
The Young People’s Housing Solutions @ the Hub is a homelessness and advice service for young people across Richmondshire. Richmondshire District Council work in partnership with North Yorkshire County Council supporting people and the Children and Young People’s service, YMCA and Foundation Housing. The Hub brings youth homelessness services together under one roof, with representatives from the County Council, District Councils, and local housing providers all working together to provide the best service for young people who need advice and support around housing issues. All young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness can be referred to the Hub, as well as any young person who requires more general advice on issues such as tenancies, deposits and housing benefits. Young people aged 16-17 and care leavers will be assessed and receive support from the Children and Young Persons Worker (CYPSW), North Yorkshire County Council.
Young people aged 18-25 will be assessed by the Time Out Worker, Foundation UK. They will be provided with the necessary support, advice and mediation to enable them to find suitable accommodation.
