Richmondshire District Council has in
partnership with Hambleton District Council, Supporting People and
Foundation Housing Association developed a service aimed at
providing housing related support for those who might otherwise
struggle to sustain their tenancy. This service is aimed at
helping prevent homelessness occurring by identifying and
addressing an issue before it becomes unmanageable. The
service is available to all residents of Richmondshire; both
council tenants and non council tenants aiming to help those who
have accommodation to not lose it.
For those customers who have been temporarily
accommodated as a result of homeless a referral to the Foundation
Service will be discussed as part of your ‘move on’ plan. For
those who are experiencing problems who are residing in council
property it may be that a referral is made following a discussion
with your Estate Manager. However individuals are able to
make direct referrals by completeing the Foundation
Referral Form and either sending or emailing the completed
referral form to the address given on the
form. Information on who can access this service and
what the service can do to help you can be found in Homeless
Prevention Scheme.
More information on this service and other
support services offered by Foundation can be found at www.foundationuk.org
