We have a duty of care to make sure that all gas and oil
appliances owned by Richmondshire District Council are serviced
every year by Gas Safe registered engineers. Any appliances, i.e. a
cooker, would be checked at the same time of the service for
condition. If unsafe these would be disconnected (please note
appliances are not the responsibility of Richmondshire District
Council).
Under your conditions of tenancy, you must allow Richmondshire
District Council’s appointed contractors into your home to carry
out gas and oil safety checks.
Our Contractor will contact you when your gas or oil safety
check is due. The letter will be individually addressed to you and
will let you know when the safety check is due. When you receive
this letter please make contact and arrange an appointment for the
engineer to call.
