The Council operates a discretionary garden assistance scheme which is available to tenants who have a disability or long standing health problem that prevents them from maintaining their garden and who have no family members residing in the district who would be consider by the council as able help in undertaking this work.

If you are struggling to manage cutting your lawn or hedge and want further information on this scheme please contact the Estate Managers on 01748 827190 or 827192 for further advice.  Alternatively if you would like to apply complete the Garden Assistance Application Form and return to the Housing Management Team, Swale House, Richmond.  DL10 7AF.  Your application will then be considered by the team and you will be notified of the outcome by letter.
