How do I register?

All applications for Council homes are currently held on our Housing Register. This will be moving to a Choice Based Lettings system in Spring 2011.

Choice Based Lettings

Richmondshire District Council have joined up with 7 partners to advertise and offer empty homes on our Waiting Lists. North Yorkshire Home Choice will be available from Spring 2011.

Mutual Exchanges

Mutual Exchange occurs when one tenant swaps homes with another tenant. It may be a faster way to move than waiting for a transfer. Only tenants who have a Secure Tenancy Agreement are allowed to mutually exchange, and both parties will need written permission from their Landlords to exchange.
