Councillors (Members) Allowances

Allowances paid to members of Richmondshire District Council for the last financial year have been published.

Each councillor receives a flat rate payment of £3,000.00 plus additional responsibility payments, which are allocated to the Leader of the Council, Chairman of the Council and chairs of committees.

Individual allowances exclude travel and subsistence and not all members claim the full amount.  Table 1 (below) details the total payments made in the year 2016/17.  The total amount paid was £124,676.18.

Travel and subsistence payments are detailed in table 2 below.  The total amount paid was £7,955.13.

No carer's allowance was paid during 2016/17.
