We aim to reduce the number of slight accidents and people killed or seriously injured on our roads by:
- raising awareness of road safety issues through education in schools and supporting targeted campaigns at specific sites or within communities based on statistical evidence and local concerns including elderly drivers, cyclists and
- working with partners to identify speeding issues through the deployment of monitoring and awareness equipment
- encouraging safer driving and better driver behaviour through targeted enforcement, safe design and construction of our roads.
To report a speed concern please complete the following report and refer to The '95 Alive' Partnership Speed Management Protocol York and North Yorkshire for further information.
