Richmondshire Community Safety
Partnership is a statutory body under the Crime and Disorder Act
1998. Its purpose is to work with key statutory partners, and all
other partners who can jointly work together, to provide long-term
solutions to crime and disorder problems.
Actions to help people to feel safe
and be safe in all communities in the District is the primary
target of the work of the Partnership.
The Community Safety Partnership is
also a partner in the
Local Strategic Partnership and is helping to
deliver priorities under the Safe Places theme of the
Richmondshire 2021
Community Sustainable Community Strategy
A brief Annual Report for 2004/05
shows the outcomes of the
2002-2005 Crime Reduction Strategy.
The Partnership is required to
conduct an audit of crime and disorder every three years and the
most recent audit was in the autumn of 2004. The findings of the
audit were produced in a report and a copy of the summarised
version of the
Audit Report 2004 is available.
The 2005-2008 Crime Reduction
Strategy with its 'daughter' strategies – the Anti Social Behaviour
Strategy 2005-2008 and the Hambleton & Richmondshire Domestic
Abuse Strategy 2005-2008 are based on the
2004
Audit Report Findings.
There is also a
leaflet available regarding advice about
anti social behaviour.
The Partnership also issues regular
press releases to keep residents
informed of the latest initiatives.
