The first run of postal ballot packs for local elections in Richmondshire next month are dropping through postboxes.
But voters are being warned that due to tight production schedules the authority’s printer was unable to reprint the postal voting statement for uncontested parishes before the packs were issued.
“A green slip advising electors when parishes are not contested is included – but this only relates to the Parish elections not the district elections, said Democratic Services Manager, Michael Dowson.
“We apologise for any confusion caused by this. Please complete and return all ballot papers you have received.”
There will be two parish elections - in Patrick Brompton and Reeth, Fremington and Healaugh - electors will receive papers for these separately in the next few days.
